My Cravings

I’ve been looking forward for a very relaxing day because I think I deserve that for I am doing great in my work and I am so stressed out. LOL! But seriously, if only I can take a short vacation, I will not let that opportunity to pass because I’ve been through a roller coaster ride for the past months.

Actually, I’m planning to spend my off from work at Happy Lemon or Serenitea. For your information, these are two of my favorite places to stay to have some tea. It helps me relax and indeed it will make my day complete for I will be able to satisfy my cravings.

To tell you honestly, I’m really craving for my favorite teas and snacks so let me just share some snapshots.

Cocoa with Rock Salt and Cheese
Cranberry Tea and Lemon Yakult
Pepper Tofu

I really hope that I will be able to visit either of the two this weekend and have a perfect cup of tea with my friends and boyfriend.

22 Years of Existence

I just celebrated my 22nd birthday last June 10. I didn’t plan anything for that day because I had work that day and I’m not so looking forward to party even though it’s my special day. For me, it was just an ordinary day and maybe I felt that way because I can’t admit to myself that I’m really starting to get old. LOL!

Anyway, even though I didn’t spend much effort preparing for food and everything, it was still a happy birthday for me because many people remembered me and that matters to me a lot. Likewise, I was with my boyfriend and we celebrated it together with a simple yet meaningful lunch date.

I am very thankful for all the people who greeted me that day because that only proves that my importance still exists in their lives. Even a simple greeting was highly appreciated. And most of all, I am very thankful as well that my Big Boss above gave me another year to prove something and make a difference in this world. I also thank Him for all the blessings that I get each day of my life.

Again, thanks to everyone and most especially to my family, boyfriend and GOD.

I'm Back

I know I’ve been gone for almost a month and I apologize for not updating my blogs. I’ve been so busy lately since I have to give more focus and extra effort with my new job.

I am now working for a BPO company and I didn’t think that the job can be hard. I mean, it’s really not as easy as it looks because I need to undergo so many trainings and I really need to study everything in just a short span of time. It’s hard in my part because I am so new in the industry and I still don’t know how to adjust because I can feel too much pressure and stress. Likewise, the work can be considered crucial because every move and wrong information that you provide for the customer will surely affect the service level.

For now, I’m almost nearing my second month with my new job and I can say that I’m continuously improving yet still learning from the mentors and other colleagues. I just really hope that a great start with my work will serve as an opening for a new opportunity for me on that same field.

Saturday 9: Hey Nineteen

1. What was the best thing about being 19? Everything! Because this is the last year for being a teen. LOL!

2. Where would you go if you wanted to spark your creativity? In the beach!

3. Complete this sentence: I am embarrassed when I do something bad or mean and I was caught by someone I don’t know.

4. Name 3 fads from your teenage years. Shoes, bags and make up!

5. What's the best birthday present you've ever had? As of now, a bag that I’ve been drooling to buy for a long time.

6. What's your oldest possession? A necklace from my mom.

7. Do you have any phobias? Not really phobia but I hate spiders, cockroaches and worms.

8. This is pretty much the start of Spring (regardless of the snow in the east this week!); what's on your to-do list for the next few weeks to transition away from this long Winter we've been having? Actually, I’m looking forward for a vacation and then shopping of course.

9. Which of the 50 states in the U.S. would you rather die than live in? Haven’t thought about this for now.

Not My Lucky Day

I was late this morning as I go to my office. I woke up early since I’m really trying not to be late but there were some circumstances that were inevitable that’s why I still end up late.

While I was on my way to the office, I’ve waited for a cab for almost 15 minutes. It’s not actually the usual thing that happens every day because there will always be lots of cabs in the terminal but this morning was really different. When I was able to get one, I immediately instructed the driver to go straight to my office. I told him some directions but he refused to follow because he said that he has a better way. So I let it go and do it his way. We’ve been traveling for about 20 minutes and I figured out that the driver’s way is really better than mine, but something went wrong. There was a heavy traffic that came our way. Unfortunately, there was an accident in the middle of the road that caused the chaos. I asked the driver if he can still find a way to escape the traffic but then we were really stuck. It took us about 30 minutes before we get through it.

I saw the accident and it was between a bus and a motorcycle. I saw spots of blood and I think and base from what I saw, it looked kind of fatal. I suddenly remembered the accident that happened to my friend in Texas 2 years ago. He even had to hire an Austin Personal Injury Attorney for his case but good thing, nothing worst happened to him. The attorney was indeed a great help for him since the services offered are very much efficient.

So anyway, obviously I was totally late for work. I arrived at around 9:15am and my time in should be by 8:30am. I am almost 1 hour late but it’s a good thing that my boss is absent so I still don’t mind though. LOL!

Summer Is Almost Here

It’s starting to get hot. I can almost feel the summer as the air gets humid every day. Actually, summer is my favorite time of the year though it can be irritating at times because of too much heat of the sun. We all know that summer is the best time to go to the beach with your friends or family.

In fact, our family will have an early summer getaway. This coming March 6 to 8, the whole clan will fly to Cebu. Most of us are first timers that’s why we are all excited, plus the fact that my beau will be coming with us.

Well then, this reminds me that I have to make an early shopping for summer essentials. First in my list will always be a swim wear and then next is a cover up, dresses, sun block and sun glasses. I’m also planning to buy new flip-flops or sandals but I’ll still think about it since I have lots of that. LOL!

I guess I look so excited right? Well you can’t blame me for I so love summer!

If Only

If I will be given a chance to turn back time and do whatever I am supposed to do, I would 100% grab the opportunity so I can take the course that I really want.

I've always been a fan of different fashion shows because I am very interested with fashion. If you were going to ask me, I would prefer a job that is related to fashion and help enhance myself to become an expert when it comes to this field.

I would personally want to study in schools like the Regency Beauty Institute since I also want learn more about make ups specifically the various techniques.

You may be confused now since I am a Computer Science graduate but all my interest are in the world of fashion. Well, this is the main reason why sometimes, I want to go back in the past and choose a different path for my college days. But then I know that I have no choice but to deal with my present situation. However, I'll do everything just to be in the career that I've been dreaming of.

Planning My Own Business

I’m still currently planning to have my own business. You see, I’ve posted from my previous posts that I’m preparing to start a business of my own instead of working in a company.

As of now, I haven’t finalized my decision yet because I still haven’t figure out the best biz that I can be able to maintain and stabilize. Of course, I want something that is related to my field or perhaps my interests.

I’m currently seeking help from the pro so I will know the ups and downs in the business industry. I’m a newbie in this field that’s why I can’t just push through with it without considering many facts that may or may not affect the finances.

But actually, I also thought that I can buy gold bullion first and invest my money instead and when the time comes that I am really prepared to establish my biz, then I will have an assurance that I am capable financially because of my investments.

I guess I still have to discuss this with my parents and siblings so I will be able to have more ideas on what to do.

He's the Sweetest

Last night, I was having a little chit chat with my boyfriend and then unexpectedly he brought up a new topic that made me a bit surprised.

He suddenly said, when are we going to finally have each other forever. And I was like, what exactly does my man mean? And then he said, “I want to marry you few years from now”. I was surprised and for the record, I can consider this as the sweetest words that he said to me. I mean, any girl will melt if there man of their life will say this to them.

It wasn’t exactly a proposal but rather a plan that we’ve both been looking forward to. I honestly want to marry him of course but I’m still not ready and I know he is too since we still don’t have a stable financial status as we are just starting with our careers.

This is in fact the main reason why we are working hard now to save money for our future. We’re both planning to run a business or perhaps buy gold bullion or an estate property few years from now as part of our investment.

Well I know that we are still both young to talk about settling down and have a family of our own. But I can’t hide my happiness especially now that I know that he wants to marry and be with me in the future.

Next Thing That I Want

If I will have a chance to buy a new gadget now, then it will be the iPad.

Before I didn't appreciate it since it is just like an iphone which is bigger. And since I'm an iphone user for years now, I just thought that it is just useless since they both have the same features. But when I was able to use one, I was fascinated by it and it feels like I want to own one.

Actually, I already ask my brother if he can give me a great price for an ipad since he owns a shop of gadgets at the mall. The price is quite expensive though but he suggested that I can just trade in my MacBook with the iPad with no cash out. Could be a great deal right?

I'm thinking though about it because I don't want to let go of my laptop since I'm using it in my work as well. But then, I thought that I can just buy a netbook to get the ipad so it won't be that expensive.

Now my brother is waiting for my decision yet I still can't decide. Hope he can wait.

I'm Late!

Unfortunately, I was late today. I left home 1 hour before my office work, just enough to arrive in time. But there was an unexpected traffic on my way.

Usually, traffic is very rare on the places going through my office. In fact, even if I leave home 45 minutes before my call time, I won't be late. But this morning was really different.

Everywhere I passed was so traffic and that's why I was 20 minutes late. It's my first time actually and I'm so not used to it. My boss even arrived before me that's why I felt a bit embarrassed. Good thing, she didn't get mad.

Oh well, I think I have to work now to make up with the time that I lost from traffic. Honestly, I'm starting to hate Manila!

On Pursuing My Dream

It's been always my dream to have my own business. Ever since my brother was engaged into a lot of business, I was inspired and motivated to have my own.

And since I just started working to earn income for myself, I might consider small businesses first before I enter into a big biz. I'm planning to open a store for cell phone accessories in partnership with my brother's business for he has a gadget store at the mall.

So you see, as I start dealing with this, I will be able to earn enough money to invest into another pursuit or into something like estate properties or I can just use my money to buy gold bullion that will definitely help me in my financial security.

Well, I just hope that I can be successful in whatever decision I will make.

What to Buy?

The end of the year is almost here and it only means one thing; I have to find a new organizer.

For me this stuff is a must because this is where I write down all of my schedules and things to do. Everywhere I go, I always bring it with me just in case I forget something to do.

The problem now is, what organizer should I buy? The Belle de Jour; it was my current organizer and it was given to me by my honey. I love this organizer because of its different features that are really helpful to me plus the discount coupons on various establishments around the metro. The second organizer that I'm eyeing for is the 2011 Strabucks organizer. It's free if you have collected all the 17 stickers. And to acquire a sticker, you have to buy stuffs that on their promo. A little bit expensive though but I really like it.

I have to decide on this matter before the Starbucks organizer runs out. Pretty hard right? LOL!

A Big Responsibility

Last Saturday, our company had a meeting; it's about the upcoming Christmas party this December. The date is still tentative though. On the round table, we talked about the different stuffs to do and creating a committee for each tasks. In this way we could avoid errors and every one will work efficiently.

As the meeting goes on, everyone got their committee to hold and jobs to fulfill. When it comes to the last cluster, the entertainment committee, I heard somebody say my name. I was like, what? Of course, being a newbie in this company, I can't say no; that's what I feel even though they asked me if it's fine. Out of being afraid to turn them down, I said yes.

Now, I am the head of the said committee, and I’m having a hard time planning the entertainment of our party. Wish me luck!

Patience is a Virtue

I am currently at the grocery store for my boyfriend asked me to accompany him in buying his foods and other stuffs.

As of now, we are in the long queue at the cashier and there are so many people here at the store. Maybe it's just because that today is Sunday so many people don't have work and they have time to do some grocery shopping. And plus the fact that some are starting to shop for Christmas so they can avoid the price hike of the goods.

Oh well, I think I just have to be more patient and wait for our turn but I’m starting to get tired now so I hope that the staffs will try to work double time.

What Do You Think?

I just had my haircut done last August. I tried a different look and I asked the stylist to make my hair layered and then put bangs since I've been planning to have it ever since but I was afraid before that it won't look good on me.

And so, it's been two months since I had a haircut and I still don't have plans to visit the salon again. But when I saw this hairstyle, I feel like I want to rush to the salon now and have this hairstyle.

But then again, I'm a bit nervous for I never had a short hair for a long time now so I'm afraid that other people and I won't get used to it so I guess I should give it a thought first before I decide. For now, I'll just look for a nice hair color that will fit me.

Hopeless

It's been two weeks since I had a job interview where I applied as an Events manager. Some are actually wondering why I applied there because I am a Computer Science graduate and obviously my course doesn't have any relation with that.

But the thing is, that is one of my most interests. I've been aiming to be in that field ever since before because I like to be exposed more with people and I really like the works in advertising, event organizing and production rather than just sitting the whole day and monitoring the computer system. Even though I know that those kinds of jobs are way too stressful, I still want to be there because I know that I will enjoy my work most of the time and in that case, I will be more motivated and determined to learn and have enough experience.

And so, when I was called for an interview, I was so happy, excited and nervous. I want the job so bad that I almost went speechless in front of the interviewer because I'm too conscious with the things that I'm going to say. Right after the interview, I was asked to start the following week but I told them that I’m still employed but willing to quit my present job just to be in there company. So the interviewer said that they'll call me but sad to say, they never did.

And this is why I am so frustrated and depressed. I almost had one of my dream jobs but I didn't notice that I let it go just easily. I'm telling to myself not to wait any more because I feel very hopeless and I just thought that it was never meant for me yet deep inside, I still hope and pray that they will contact me soon and let me start working in their company.

Preparing for Election

October 14 is the official start of the campaign period for the upcoming Barangay and SK election this October 25, 2010. As I filed my Certificate of Candidacy during the first week of October, my family, especially my mom and dad, have been very busy for the preparations for the campaign.

For your information, I’ll run as a Kagawad of our barangay as an independent candidate. My mom was obviously the one who pushed me to run since she’s the our outgoing Chairman of our barangay for she have served for 3 consecutive terms already. She really wants me to be part of the council as she sees that I have the potential to be a good leader because of my background during my school days.

As of now, we are still planning on what to do for the campaign but for sure, we’ll make posters and tarpaulins for the people to recognize me. Later after work, I’ll have a picture taking with my brother-in-law so that he’ll be able to layout my tarpaulin so we won’t be in a rush in the printing process.

I’m a bit nervous for the election is fast approaching but I’m always ready to take the challenge.
