Medical History or Wrong Prescriptions?

It’s inevitable sometimes to acquire some diseases and medical condition of our family. Most are genetics so these are actually the worries of pregnant women especially if there is a background from their family that has serious medical conditions.

This fact is surely true but what we don’t consider is that sometimes, there are malpractice that happened during pregnancy that sometimes, we don’t know and we will only get to discover it when the time comes that the baby is born and been diagnosed by the doctors.

Just recently, I read an article from the internet that includes Topamax, a drug that is used for epileptic seizures, migraines and some medical conditions. But this medicine has somehow dangerous side effects that can threaten the life of the person. In fact, they already issued a warning for pregnant women as they have learned that few of the side effects of this are clef palate and clef lip.

So if you know someone that is a victim of this, better have them hire a Topamax lawsuit so they will be able to have an assistance with their condition. Likewise, they will be able to acquire benefits from their case, which will indeed help them in medicating their condition.

We should always be prudent with the medicines that we intake especially for pregnant women because that might have a side effect particularly with the baby. Consult your doctor first before so we can be sure of our safety.

Surgical Mission for the Boys

My friend asks a favor from my mom if they can conduct a medical mission here in our barangay because it is one of their requirements in their med class. And since my mom thinks that this can give service to her constituents, she permitted my friend and the rest of her groupmates.

My mom decided to have a surgical mission instead of just having a free check up. They will conduct free circumcision to not more than 20 kids this coming May 30, 2010.

The Philomedical group where my friend belongs asks my mom if she can provide some of the materials for the surgeries just like the medicine, syringes and gauges. My mom agreed and she asked me if I could do some canvassing since I am also going to the pharmacy tomorrow to buy Lipovox for my aunt.

As of now, my mom is still trying to confirm every detail with the Philomedical group so that they won’t have any problem on the day of the surgical mission itself.

On Her 4th Month

My sister is pregnant with her second baby now. She’s in her 4th month and she’s doing all the precautions and care for pregnant women.

She always makes sure that she eats a healthy diet especially now that her baby needs nutrients too. She also have her regular check up to monitor her baby so that they can detect early problems and they can immediately prevent it and also for her to have a safe pregnancy.

She’s currently on leave now because she was advised to have a complete rest first so that she will be able to handle the symptoms of pregnancy particularly during the first trimester. In addition, her doctor gave her prenatal vitamins, which is very important for her. She was also advised to drink milk but then she refuse to do it because she really hates milk. LOL!

Anyway, I know how careful is my sister with her pregnancy but I still pray for her safe pregnancy and of course safe delivery when the time comes for her second baby to come out.

Discipline Is The Key

It’s not always easy to undergo diet just to lose some weight. Time will come that you will be deprived and you will crave more for the foods that you most likely to eat but sometimes prohibited to you. Sometimes, you just can’t help but eat and ignore the discipline that you have to work on when it comes to your balance diet.

These are some of the reasons why some people who are trying to lose weight easily give up. Because no matter how hard they work out in the gym and sometimes they even take the best weight loss pill, still nothing happens because they cannot resist the temptations.

But then, there are still some who are successful in dealing with this matter regardless of how hard it is. They have been working so well and they are able to discipline themselves that help them achieve the body figure that they want.

Food Is Set

Four days more and Christmas is finally here. The house is getting busy since we are preparing for it. Every year, we celebrate Christmas in my granny’s house and everyone in our family is always present which is why Christmas is a sort of reunion for us.

My sister already placed our orders to the caterers and the foods will be delivered before lunch on Dec. 25. We’ve ordered plenty foods since many of us will share.

The foods really look so delicious and in fact, we’ve ordered to the same caterer that we had last year so we are pretty sure that everyone will love the cuisine. Actually, this what makes some of my relatives who are on a diet worry because for sure they will have a hard time to control eating and they will be forced to take adipex diet pills afterward. LOL!

So much for this, I guess the menus are set for Christmas. I just hope everyone will have a great time and I wish you all a Happy Christmas.

Not Feeling Well

For the past days, I always feel sick and very weak. Maybe because of lack of sleep and over fatigue since I’ve been so busy these days. I always have headaches and sometimes I do have fever.

Because of this, my mom became so worried because I don’t eat much and she thought that I drink appetite suppressant. She asked me to have a check up with my doctor and since I thought I badly need it, I agreed with her and ask if we can just go on a Tuesday morning. So she said yes and called our doctor for a schedule.

For now, my mom gave me medications that will help strengthen my resistance and prevent other diseases. She also gave me some vitamins to help me gain my appetite so I can eat more to have energy.

I really don’t like it whenever I get sick. It is like I can’t do my things well since all I wanted is to lie down in bed and sleep all day. I just wish I can feel better now.

I Need Your Opinions

Just about last semester, we were informed that we are going to have our photo shoot for our graduation pictures. They told us that our schedule will be this coming December 9-11 that’s why we were required to pay for at least half of the price for the package that we will avail.

Since we were informed earlier, some of my classmates did some preparations for this. Some had their hair treatment while other went on a diet and searched for a faster way of how to burn fat because they want to look good in their graduation picture.

But for me, my dilemma is about my creative shot. Until now, I still don’t have any idea on what to do regarding this matter. Of course I want to have a very nice creative shot that’s why I’m really thinking about this. So if you have any opinions, please don’t hesitate to write a comment. Thank you.

Blame It To My Mom

Through my entire years of living, I never looked fat. I always maintain a slim figure and no matter how much I eat, I never really become fat. Actually, some of my friends are wondering because they can always see me eating a lot and sometimes I eat more than them and yet I can still maintain my figure.

Well I guess I really have a fast metabolism that’s why I burn fats easily. Most of my friends say that I am very fortunate because I don’t even have to think about ways of losing weight and I don’t even have to take fat burner or other pills for losing weight.

But then again, though I’m fortunate enough to maintain my figure, there are times that I want to gain a little weight so that I won’t look too thin. But no matter what I do, my figure is a bit stable. LOL! I guess I got this from my mom who also has a slim body like me.

Define VAIN!!

My mom is becoming a bit anxious and worried about her physical appearance. She admits that she’s getting older and older that’s why there are some changes that are starting to appear now.

Like for instance, she noticed that wrinkles are starting to form on her forehead. She really can’t stand it that’s why she went to her dermatologist to ask of she can still prevent it. Fortunately, the doctor said that there is still a remedy since it is just starting to appear. She was given an anti wrinkle cream for her first medication and every two weeks, she was asked to visit again.

My mom said that she will definitely go back for another check up with her dermatologist. Now I know that my mom is really a vain now. She really hates to look older than her age that’s why she’s doing everything to preserve her beauty. And obviously, that’s where I got the attitude. It really runs in the genes. LOL!

Figuring Out the Dilemma

Getting fat is much easier than maintaining a slim body. It’s been a dilemma by hundreds of people who are a fan of striking figures but haven’t blessed with. My friend talked to me last night, she gave me a ring around 10 o’clock, we had a normal long-time-no-see conversation; she greeted me and conversed about present matters and of course our childhood, laughs on our childish games and stuffs alike.

Then our conversation taps the topic about figure. Being jocular by nature, I told her that I’m still hot like before, and laugh out loud then asked how about her. She sighs and said that she was starting to get some weight. I told her that it was fine; I know she’s still pretty. She just laughs and asked me if I know some quick weight loss method or bits and pieces that can help her reduce her mass.

I told her that I don’t have any idea about it instead I gave her some advices that she can consider before trying new things to diminish her so called “problem.” I just hope that my opinion will matter and enlighten her to make the best decision for herself.

Wish Me Luck

This year is my last year in college and I am very honest even from the start that this year is very hard and stressful for me. Well it’s not because of the time that I spend in school but rather the number of loads and tasks that are simultaneously given to us.

Due to this, I have to admit that I’ve lost so much weight which makes me thinner. Actually, some of my friends who are not aware of my busy life are still wondering why I am getting thinner and thinner. They even make fun about it by saying that I took some weight loss pills which is definitely not true.

Well I guess I will lose more weight because this semester will be harder than the last one. I will be expecting more works that are surely tough and needs couple of months to finish. I just hope that everything will fall into their right place and will lead to success.

Batch Reunion

Last week, before the second semester starts, I and my schoolmates form high school decided to have a small reunion plus the birthday celebration of one of our friends. Of course not all from our batch was able to make it because we don’t have the same personal schedules. But then, even though only few were able to attend, we still enjoyed our night and everyone had a blast.

During that night, I was able to talk to some of my friends that I haven’t seen for quite some time. We exchange gossips and even small problems that we are currently facing. For instance, one of my friends was having trouble with her diet. She just can’t control her diet which resulted to gaining so much weight. And now that she will be attending her sister’s wedding on December 2010, she’s becoming desperate to lose weight. She even asked her doctor if she can take some best weight loss pills for easy and faster improvement.

Well anyway, enough of our problems, the bottom line is we all had fun and the birthday celebrant indeed spent a wonderful night with us.

Thanks to My Doctor

I haven’t visited my dermatologist for almost a month now. It was due to my busy days in school that’s why I got no time to have my treatment.

But even though I don’t show up in the clinic to have my treatment, I still make sure that I buy and use my creams and antibiotics for my acne regularly as instructed by my dermatologist. And just last week, I asked my mom to buy me some creams since I’m running out of stock. My mom will have her facial by that time that’s why I decided to ask a favor.

When she got home, she told me that my dermatologist was already looking for me so she just explained that I have no time yet for my treatments since I’m still busy with school. And then she handed me my medicines plus the new cream that my dermatologist gave me which contains a salicylic acid that is good for acne treatment.

That same night, I used the new cream prescribed by my doctor after I washed my face. Well, I just hope that time will permit me to visit my dermatologist. SOON!

Good Deeds

Despite of the busy days in school, I was still able to do some charity works with my mom and friends during the last two weeks.

We decided to help the victims of typhoons in our own little ways. We shopped for something to give to the victims for we know that they really need foods and clothing. My mom bought noodles, canned goods and even rice while I and my friends looked for our old clothes to share for the needy. In addition, since my mom has friends who give her free medicines so she adds some Medicare supplement since many people are getting sick because of the viruses that they get in evacuation centers.

We can’t decide where to give our goods so we then decided to just donate them in some centers that are certified to accept donations. We felt so happy that even in our own little ways; we were able to extend our hand to those who are badly in need.

Let’s just continue to pray for our own safety and also for our country to be safe and out of danger.

A problem

Last Friday morning, I had a chat with my friend, which I won’t mention her name, about her health stuffs. At first, the conversation run down smoothly, were talking like 100 words per second; asking about school stuffs, etc.

After a while, I noticed that something’s different from her. She loss tons of weight since the last time I saw her, I asked her if she was sick. She didn’t answer first, then after of a long period of silence. She spilled the beans. She told me that she was sick, which I forgot what it is, and she needs to undergo such medication. If I’m not mistaken, it was bioidentical hormone replacement austin.

I don’t know what it is but it’s kind of scary, I just pat her back for good luck and told her that if she needed someone to talk to, just drop me a call. We bid our goodbyes and hope for a good result on her medication.

The Worst Problem

As what I have posted from my previous posts, I’ve been experiencing a lot of sleepless nights because of my school stuffs. I barely have 8-10 hours of sleep and it causes a lot of negative effects in my system.

Currently, I have cold and cough and just last week, I got a fever and honestly, until now, I am not yet fully recovered in a sense that I always feel weak and I can’t eat well because of the loss of my appetite.

But the worst part that I really hate most is acne. I easily get acnes whenever I don’t get enough sleep and if I stay awake until the wee hours. I think I need an acne treatment now before it gets even worst since I know that there will be more sleepless nights coming as I go through my 4th year in college.

Oh well, I just hope that all our hard works will be worth it at the end.
