2011 Celebration

In just a few hours, my family and I are off to Laguna. We rented a house there with a swimming pool and we are going to welcome 2011 there.

This will be the first time that we are going to have a swimming party for new year and also, this will be the first time that my boyfriend will come with us. i bet that this will be one of the best memories that we will surely treasure.

We are both excited since we will be together, holding each other's hand as we welcome the year 2011.

As for my family, though I've spent so much time with them I am very still blessed that I get to celebrate another year with them.

I bet that this trip will be a memorable one for all of us. I just can't thank God for giving me a wonderful family and i know that I am always in good hands.

It Will Still Be Worth It

I’ve been so busy lately thinking about the things to buy for Christmas. From my clothes down to the presents that I’ll buy for my family, friends and of course my honey.

And then I realized that I’m going to spend a big amount of money for all of these. I’m just having second thoughts now because I’m thinking that I can use the money for other important things. Or maybe, I can just use it for investments such as bullion or perhaps a small business.

But still I want to make my loved ones happy so I guess I just have to work more and find ways that can help me earn more so I’ll have enough budgets to use for Christmas. After all, Christmas just happens once a year so I guess even if I spend a big amount of money, it will all be worth it.

B Got Sick

My niece Bela had an allergy last week. After her swimming class, we noticed that her cheeks were reddish and we thought that it’s just sunburn so we then ignored it.

When we arrived home, I saw some rashes in her arms and we started to monitor her. After a while, more rashes appeared so my mom decided to gave her some medicine for allergy relief. Some of the rashes were gone after a couple of minutes of taking the medicine so we thought that she’s well already.

The next morning, my mom noticed some red spots in Bela’s back. My mom suggested bringing her to the doctor. So they rushed her to the hospital and after her doctor checked her, she was prescribed to drink medicine for 1 week or until the rashes were totally gone.

Good thing that she doesn’t need to have an injection because her allergy was prevented immediately. And now she’s all well and we really thank God for that.

Perfect Summer Getaway

This is where we spent our family summer getaway last April. We had an overnight stay in this private resort and everyone totally had a blast.

The place is just perfect for our family. The rooms are enough for all of us, they have videoke, billiards, basketball court, outdoor chaise lounges and they also have a neat cooking and dining area and most especially the pool and the whole place is clean and organized.

But my favorite spot here is the gazebo. The light effects of the whole place are very artistic even though they use simple light bulbs and lamps. The place is just so stunning that you will feel very relaxed if you choose to take a rest there.

Since everyone in our family liked the place, they are already planning to go back here next year. And if possible, we would like to spend our New Year there just for a change. All of us are looking forward to this that’s why we hope that this will really push through.

He's Coming Out

Day by day, I notice my sister continuously gains weight due to her pregnancy. Though she is just a month a way, she still craves for so many food and she really does eat a lot and that’s why there is no doubt that she’s getting fatter and fatter.

Though she knows that this is just normal for pregnant women, she’s still a bit worried that she might not get back into her normal weight when she’s not pregnant. She’s becoming a little paranoid because she’s really not used with a bigger size. Well I bet she will buy diet pills after a couple of months of giving birth.

I know that she will be able to cope up with this eventually. For now, she’s setting aside this dilemma and instead she’s focusing on giving birth that will happen SOON!

Back to Business

My dad has been out of the business world for quite some time now. And ever since that happened, he seemed to be gloomy at times because he’s not used to that lifestyle.

Fortunately, one of his friends offered him to manage a business. I can see that my dad is very interested that’s why he didn’t hesitate to accept the offer. They are about to start in just a few weeks and for now; my dad is still studying the outline of the business with its possible pros and cons.

I can see that my dad is just back to his normal life. Business is really his life that’s why I’m thinking of giving him la gloria cubana as a good luck gift as he starts their business.

I know that my dad will be able to handle this successfully for I am very sure that he always knows what he’s doing. I wish him the best of luck and may God always bless him.

Early Preparations

I have posted so many things and stories about my sister’s pregnancy with her second baby. I’ve talked about some of her preparations, dilemmas and emotional feelings as she goes through with this.

But enough of this for this moment as I want to share her plans for her baby’s first birthday. Even though she knows that it is still far for her to prepare, she doesn’t seem to care about it because she gets more and more excited. She thought of having a carnival theme and just to make it more fun and exciting, she’s trying to look for a venue that will somehow looks like the Disney World resorts.

These are some of her ideas that she’s been trying to think about. She knows that this might be a challenge for her because she knows that she needs a bigger budget just to make up this plan.

Well I hope that she’ll be able to push through with this and I assure her that I will extend my hand in whenever she needs my help.

The Last Trimester

My sister is in her last trimester of pregnancy. She’s starting to count the days until the deadline and of course she can’t help but feel excited to see her newborn baby boy. She told me that after she gives birth and breastfeed her baby, she wants to lose the weight that she gained. But of course I reminded her that she has to take safe diet pills and must consult her doctor first before taking any so as to avoid complications.

For now, she’s preparing for the things that she will need in giving birth just like the clothes of the baby and even the stuffs that she will use while they stay in the hospital. Just like me, she doesn’t want to use the hospital things such as the bed sheets, pillowcases and the like and instead, she brings her own.

Likewise, she’s preparing her first daughter Bela on what to expect when her little brother comes. My sister really hopes that Bela will not have a hard time dealing with the adjustments for having a second baby in their family.

My Mom's Birthday Celebration

It’s been a great week for me. I’ve spent more time with my friends and family and this means that I was able to break free from my thesis dilemma even just for a while.

Last Tuesday, April 6, was my mom’s birthday. Our whole family went out on a dinner and I invited my boyfriend to come with us. It was his first time to go out on a dinner with my family because he’s very shy that he always makes excuses whenever we invite him.

While we were having our dinner, my brother presented his gift to my mom. He bought her a new Samsung jet phone, since he discovered that my mom is planning to buy one next month. She was totally surprised because she didn’t expect that. She was only expecting a simple birthday treat with us.

My mom is totally happy spending another year with us. I know how thankful she is for all the blessings that God has given her.

Can They Afford It Now?

My sister bought a brand new car last year for her daughter to use when going to school. They really provide a car for her since they cannot borrow my brother’s car everyday because he also has to use it in going to his work.

And now that my sister is pregnant, it’s a bit hard for her to commute and it is somehow not safe for her. That’s why, everyday, my dad fetch her to her office so that it will be more convenient for her but she thinks that it will be a little hassle for my dad.

And so, my sister’s hubby thought of investing another car so that they can also have their own to use while going to work. They are starting to canvass for prices and they even look for the cheapest car insurance because they want their properties to be secured and protected.

But they are still undecided with this because they are saving their money for their future needs. They are expecting big amount of payments this year since my sister will give birth and she has to arrange the Christening and the 5th birthday of her first child, Bela.

So I guess they are still trying to figure out if they have enough budget to cater all the bills that they will have.

The Dream Wedding

I remember my sister’s wedding years ago. It was a very nice wedding that I never imagined. It was a big wedding celebration and extravagant. The couples really prepared for it that’s why it all turned out to their dream wedding.

I was one of the persons behind the preparations. With the help of my cousin, my sister’s friends and of course, the bride itself, we made every single thing very successful.

I had a great experience during the preparations. From the reservations of the venue and church, making of souvenirs and invitations, buying of bridesmaid gifts and tokens for the parents and many, many more.

It was fun being one of the busy people preparing for the wedding because you can feel the excitement and the joy of the couple.

How I wish that we could do it again. But who knows, maybe on the next few years, I’ll be preparing for my own dream wedding. LOL!

On Being A Good Sister

My sister just had her check up last two days with her doctor. She was accompanied by our mom who also had her follow up check up for her eczema treatment.

I think she’s in her fifth month now and it is already confirmed that her second baby is a boy. They really want a baby boy now since they already have a girl that’s why they were very happy when they found out that is really a boy. The really expected this and I just came true.

Everyone is getting more and more excited for this. Even Bela, my sister’s daughter is excited to see her newborn brother few months from now. In fact, she’s suggesting some names for the baby and whenever we go shopping, she always sees to it that there is something for the baby boy. How sweet right?

My sister is very happy that Bela is starting to express her love and care for her baby brother as early as now. She just hopes that when the baby arrived, Bela will not be that jealous and intimidated for the attention that the baby might acquire.

I Can't Wait For Summer

And so I heard a very exciting news. Our family will be attending a wedding this coming May at one of beaches at San Juan Batangas. I’m still not sure about the exact name of the resort but wherever it is, I am very much excited.

This will be my first time to attend a beach wedding. You don’t have any idea how much I love beaches and that’s why I really can’t hide my excitement when I heard about this.

Oh well, of course I have to look pretty during this day so I think I better start looking for an effective acne scar removal. LOL!

And by the way, this will also be our family getaway for summer and I know everyone will enjoy, as this will be our first outing at the beach. Plus, all expenses paid and we’re going to stay there overnight. I’m sure this will be so much fun.

The Battle Against The Killer

I read an article on the magazine about the Cancer just few weeks ago. Suddenly, I remembered how cruel this disease is since I’ve witnessed the struggles and pain of my dearest auntie when she died because of it.

Ever since this happened to our lives, I became closer to cancer patients. Just like the one that I met from previous years at the charity for Cancer patients, a young boy with Mesothelioma cancer who battled for his life. He was so adorable and every time I remember him, I can’t forget the way he looked and smiled at me. I miss the hugs that he gave me when I had a chance to be with him. Unfortunately, he died two years ago.

My heart broke when I heard the news, because just like my auntie, he was so dear to me. I f only I was given more time to be with this young innocent boy, I would definitely give him nothing, but happiness, love and care. How I wish I can turn back the time.

I will never forget him and he will always remain as an inspiration to me together with my dearest auntie.

My Loving Family

I remembered how supportive my family is ever since I started studying. During my elementary days, I am always part of the program since I am popular at my school with my dancing and acting abilities. Every time I perform on stage, my parents were always there to watch and cheer for me and as well as my siblings and my favorite aunt.

Likewise, when I was about to take my first communion, they even made communion invitations for the rest of our relatives and they did the same way during my elementary and high school graduation.

These only prove that they are so proud of me. They always want to witness how I grow up as individual and how I improve and excel with my different capabilities.

I am just so lucky that I have these people around me. They never fail to abandon me even until now and as I grow old and learn from my mistakes, they still maintain their love, care and support and for that, I am very thankful.

On Her 4th Month

My sister is pregnant with her second baby now. She’s in her 4th month and she’s doing all the precautions and care for pregnant women.

She always makes sure that she eats a healthy diet especially now that her baby needs nutrients too. She also have her regular check up to monitor her baby so that they can detect early problems and they can immediately prevent it and also for her to have a safe pregnancy.

She’s currently on leave now because she was advised to have a complete rest first so that she will be able to handle the symptoms of pregnancy particularly during the first trimester. In addition, her doctor gave her prenatal vitamins, which is very important for her. She was also advised to drink milk but then she refuse to do it because she really hates milk. LOL!

Anyway, I know how careful is my sister with her pregnancy but I still pray for her safe pregnancy and of course safe delivery when the time comes for her second baby to come out.

Happy Days

The past holiday seasons have been so great to our family. We all had a blast and able to enjoy the short vacation that we had and we made it sure to spend the days together.

Christmas was very merry and as well as our New Year. We had wonderful moments and bonding with each other plus we really made the most out of our time together.

During the holiday seasons, we enjoyed watching movies, mall hopping, chatting and most importantly, eating! I must admit that some of my relatives gained weight because we rarely stop eating. The foods were so delicious that’s why we just can’t help it. Actually, some of my relatives who are currently taking Stimerex ES said that holiday seasons are exemptions on their diets.

Anyway, I just hope that we can still have some quality time together though most of us are kind of busy now. I just wish that everyday is a holiday. LOL!

A Big Help For Grandma

I was about to do some research a while ago when all of a sudden, my friend called and asked if I can help her find an NC short term health insurance. So I decided to help her and I set aside first what I was about to do.

While I was searching for it, I remembered how my grandma’s insurance helped her a lot. Actually, just last year, she had two accidents and fortunately, she recovered immediately.

Her recent accident was few days before Christmas. She tripped while walking in our kitchen and her face was bumped on the floor that’s why the right side of her face was covered with bruises. She was rushed into the hospital and her doctor ordered a CT just to make sure that there is no fracture in her skull.

Fortunately, my grandma was just fine and she was then prescribed by her doctor to take some medicines to reduce pain and for her to get well.

A Happy Happy New Year

We celebrated our New Year at Tagaytay. We had an overnight stay at the rest house of my mom’s friend, which is indeed a very nice place.

During the New Year’s Eve, my cousin and I organized a small program for the whole family. We had a lot of games for the kids and also for the elders. We even prepared prizes for the winners so that they will be more encouraged to join.

After the program, we all headed to the dining room to eat and then after that, we went to the garden and started the countdown for the year 2010.

The following day, we decided to have lunch at Leslie’s. After that, the kids went horseback riding, which is the most awaited time for them. They really had fun and even my four-year-old niece had a blast. She even ask her dad if she can bring home a horse and she also asked for equestrian apparel because she wants a new one for her dream pet horse.

Finally, we all agreed to go home because everyone is already tired. For sure, our next New Year celebration will be as fun as this.

New Year Celebration

New Year is about to come and I’m getting a bit paranoid. Why? Because I hate firecrackers. This is one thing that I hate most when New Year comes.

Since it is a big event for all of us, of course we can expect people using different firecrackers. Even as early as now, our neighbors are starting to go crazy with the firecrackers that’s why at times I’m scared to go out because I really hate those.

This is the main reason why our family decided to celebrate New Year in a different way. Traditionally, we celebrate this at our grandmother’s house and all our relatives gather there. But for now, we prefer to go out of town to avoid too much noise from the crowd.

We really want to have an Outer Banks vacation but since we don’t have enough budgets and the plan was so sudden, we just then decided to have an overnight stay at Tagaytay. We already booked the guesthouse of my mom’s friend and it so convenient since only our family will occupy the whole house.

They have a videoke room which we will surely enjoy plus the two billiard tables. They also have a kitchen where we can cook and a very nice and spacious garden where we do our outdoor activities.

Everyone in our family is very excited since this will be the first time that we will celebrate our New Year like this. I am sure that everyone will enjoy and relax.
