Sweet Memories

I’ve been in a relationship for almost 1 year and 5 months now. Until now, I’m happy with my partner and I know that he feels the same way for we love each other so much.

I remember when we celebrated our first anniversary, he gave me a ring and I really wasn’t expecting that. Well, he’s a man of surprises. He always has something special to do and that makes my heart melts. LOL!

When he gave me the ring, he even joked about it and asked me to marry him. Then we both laugh then he told me that when the time comes that he will give me an engagement ring, he want it to be so special with diamonds on it but I told him that there is no need for it to be expensive because the sacrament is more important but of course we both know that it is too early for us to discuss this.

For now, we are enjoying each other’s company. We hope and pray that this will really last forever.

The Battle Against The Killer

I read an article on the magazine about the Cancer just few weeks ago. Suddenly, I remembered how cruel this disease is since I’ve witnessed the struggles and pain of my dearest auntie when she died because of it.

Ever since this happened to our lives, I became closer to cancer patients. Just like the one that I met from previous years at the charity for Cancer patients, a young boy with Mesothelioma cancer who battled for his life. He was so adorable and every time I remember him, I can’t forget the way he looked and smiled at me. I miss the hugs that he gave me when I had a chance to be with him. Unfortunately, he died two years ago.

My heart broke when I heard the news, because just like my auntie, he was so dear to me. I f only I was given more time to be with this young innocent boy, I would definitely give him nothing, but happiness, love and care. How I wish I can turn back the time.

I will never forget him and he will always remain as an inspiration to me together with my dearest auntie.

My Loving Family

I remembered how supportive my family is ever since I started studying. During my elementary days, I am always part of the program since I am popular at my school with my dancing and acting abilities. Every time I perform on stage, my parents were always there to watch and cheer for me and as well as my siblings and my favorite aunt.

Likewise, when I was about to take my first communion, they even made communion invitations for the rest of our relatives and they did the same way during my elementary and high school graduation.

These only prove that they are so proud of me. They always want to witness how I grow up as individual and how I improve and excel with my different capabilities.

I am just so lucky that I have these people around me. They never fail to abandon me even until now and as I grow old and learn from my mistakes, they still maintain their love, care and support and for that, I am very thankful.

Sad Memories

I remembered I and my sister sponsored to one of the organizations supporting cancer patients a couple of years ago. Every sponsor was assigned to shoulder the ticket of a cancer patient and watch the Cinderella play with them at the Cultural Center of the Philippines.

I didn’t hesitate to accept the invitation. I always love doing things like this especially with cancer patients because they are very close to my heart because my dearest auntie died because of cancer for years now.

A girl named Ria was assigned to me and she suffers from lung cancer. I took care of her for the whole day and I really enjoyed what I’m doing. After the show, there was a small party for all the sponsors and cancer patients. We were all gathered in one room and there was a show for them and you can see in their eyes how much happy they are.

While we were eating, a chubby boy named Carlo approached me. Actually, this was the kid assigned to my sister. He’s really cute and he asked for my name. He seated on my lap and he kept on playing with my hands. He was a sweet little boy. He hugs me from time to time and never leaves my side. He introduced me to his mom and I was able to talk to her. I asked her about Carlo’s disease and she told me that he is suffering from mesothelioma which is a rare cancer. The reason why Carlo is chubby is because he takes steroids as one of his medication.

My heart seemed like broken when I heard it. I almost cried and when I saw Carlo playing around, I feel like I want to adapt him so I can be by his side. And just before they go home, he asked me if I can come and live with him so we can play. But obviously I can’t so instead I promised him that I will send him gifts.

And just last month, I heard from the organizer of this charity that Carlo died because of cancer. It breaks my heart even more and I can’t help but cry. I suddenly remembered that day when I met him, the day that he hugged me, the day that he asked me if I can come to his house and play with him and the day that I promised to send him gifts which I wasn’t able to do because I’m too busy.

How I wish I can bring back those times to make him happier. But I’m so blessed that God permits me to meet this angel. He continues to be an inspiration to me and I will never forget this cute little boy. I’m glad that even for a while; I became part of his happy life.

Dilemma

It is really hard for me have a light package when I’m traveling especially out of town. I don’t know but I am used to have bigger luggage so I can put all the things I need for that certain trip. I know that whenever we travel, we should minimize the things that we are going to bring so we are not going to have a hard time carrying them. But for me, I just can’t. I prefer to bring many things because I always want to be ready if ever certain circumstances will happen.

That’s why, when we went to Hong Kong last November, I really had a rough time packing my things because my brother suggested that we just have to use a back pack since we are going to transfer hotels and our best way of transportation is their MTR.

And since I had no option but to follow my brother, I tried my best to minimize my things. I made plans on what I’m going to wear for four days and I just brought the clothes that I need. I admit, it was too hard for me but still, I managed to pack my luggage.

Memories

It’s been a couple of years since my auntie died because of cancer. We all know that it is a very serious disease that is very hard to cure. Victims of this suffer from great pain and they undergo so many treatments that weaken their body system.

Just as I remember the death of my auntie, whenever I see cancer patients, I can’t help but sympathize with them. I always end up teary eyed because I know how much they suffer. I know how much it feels that they are starting to lose hope though they still have a chance of living.

Just like the kid that I met few years back. We had a charity work for cancer victims and by the time that I met him, they were currently looking for Mesothelioma lawyer that can help them. And just last year, I heard from our family friend who was one of the organizers of the charity work that we had that he already died. I felt sad because I wasn’t able to visit him again before he died. The only memory that I have with him is our picture while he was hugging me. Such a sweet little boy.

I Badly Miss Her

It’s been a year since I saw my best friend. It’s really sad because she’s she one that I can really turn to whenever I feel so down and she never fails to brighten up my day with all her corny jokes and mushy lines. She’s now living in Laguna and we seldom talk since she’s busy with her school stuffs and her family. We don’t get much time to get along because she rarely visits Manila.

She will be celebrating her birthday this coming October 4, 2008. I’m looking forward to see her on her special day but I don’t know if I can find time to visit her in Laguna because I think it will be our examination and final defense week.

But then again, if time will not permit me to visit her, I’m planning to send her a gift so that she will know that though we are far from each other, I still remembered her birthday. Probably I’ll be getting custom picture frames and surprise her with our very nice pictures.

I really miss my best friend and I’m really hoping to see her and spend some time with her SOON!

Love Story

During my second year in college, we were assigned to make a short movie in one of our subjects. We were given the prerogative to choose our own concept of the story as well as the cast and directors.

We first came up with a decision to make a love story then after that we started to write the script and when we were done, we showed it to our professor and ask for her approval. After that, we distributed the two main roles and I was very fortunate to play the role of the lead actress. My good friend also got the role of the lead actor and that’s the reason why I didn’t had a hard time to work with the movie because we were very comfortable with each other’s company.

We were able to finish our movie for about two months, including the closed captioning and editing of the said video. But during the editing, we experienced a lot of problems and we thought that we will not be able to meet the deadline but then we were still fortunate enough that we were able to finish it on time.

We were really overjoyed because we never thought that we can come up with a very promising movie and thanks to all my classmates who participated and as well as to our professor who supported us from the very beginning until the end.

i really love these people.. even if most of the time we encounter problems due to misunderstandings.. we've been through a lot of hardships.. and through those times not even one of us gave up because we always help each other and we never left anyone alone.. khit dumating na sa point na ngsasanib puwersa na ang mga professors sa pgpapahirap smen, ung tipong papasok kme ng wlang tulog dhil sa mga pnpgawa na projects na ndi nmn connected s course nmen.. hahaha.. you can still see each one of us SMILING.. STILL ALIVE AND KICKING!!

indeed we have xo many happy memories that we will surely treasure.. the bonding moments during our practices in our movies and plays.. the times that we're being scolded by our professors because of our mistakes.. the joke times.. the simple talks.. and sumtyms rumors.. the sleep overs.. sleepless nights.. and of course.. our drinking sessions..!! hahaha..

we are just amazing people bonded into one group..
