UZ

I was watching Urban Zone with my mom last Sunday night. Actually, I always watch this local show because I like their concept of featuring different houses with unique interiors.

I remember one of their episodes where they featured a very nice house with a bit of vintage look when you see it from the outside. But when you enter the house, they made a new concept by putting modern furniture that really compliments the interior.

My favorite part of the house is the swimming pool. But this is different from the usual design that we see because the pool is inside the house. It is not that big but the idea is very much unique.

It looks like that the owners express deep interest in water because it shows in their furniture and designs just like their big glass wall with flowing water that looks like falls an they also have fountains and pond in their backyard.

This is really one of my favorite local shows because I can get different ideas on interior designing. Who knows, by watching every episode, I can make my dream house out of all the ideas I’ve seen. LOL!

Home Improvements

Since last week, we’ve been a bit busy renovating our house at Bulacan. We’ve noticed that there are so many things that need repair and even need a better replacement.

Just like for instance, the paints on the walls and ceiling, the windows and other furniture. My sister wants to change the windows to glass and instead of putting curtains, she wants blinds. The sofa needs to be replaced already that’s why we already contacted our family friend who does upholstery and we already ordered one. Dad is planning to buy an LCD TV to be put in the living room and I suggested adding some bin bags instead of chairs just to make it look modernized.

This renovation is for the preparation of our planned reunion that will be held on September. So we hope that before this month comes, the house is fully renovated and just in time for the event.

Still Working On It

Since no one is living in our house at Bulacan now, our family agreed that we will go and spend our weekend there. But not for now because we still have to completely renovate the place and clean the house and even the backyards so we can enjoy our stay there.

My brother in law has so many plans for our house. He wants to rebuild the windows and walls to make it more modern. He also wants to minimize the space in the living room and so he can add one more bedroom. And the most important plans are the butterfly farm and the fishpond.

She knows how much her daughter loves animals and actually, those ideas were from her daughter. But then, he knows that this may take a lot of time so while he is still planning, he’s also starting to buy the equipments such as the pond skimmer that he will use for the maintenance of the fishpond.

I really can’t wait to visit our house again and by then, I hope that it is already fully renovated.

I Found My Dream House

My brother wants to buy his own house this year. This is the biggest investment that he is preparing for now because this is really his dream.

He already found a rest house in Tagaytay and he already considered this as one of his options. He’s not yet convinced about this though the price and the place is a good deal for him because he really wants to buy a beachfront house.

We have seen the house in Tagaytay two weeks ago. If you are going to ask me, the house is just perfect as what my dream house is. It is fully furnished, has big glass windows, lightings such as the wall sconces, lanterns and chandeliers that add beauty inside the house.

If I were my brother, I won’t have second thoughts of buying it. Besides from the fact that it has complete furniture, the ambiance is really nice, overlooking the mountains and fields and the weather is just great.

If only I have the money or the right to decide, I won’t look for anything better anymore. LOL!

Busy Week For The Preparation

Exactly thirteen days before Christmas and everyone is surely excited. Most people are rushing for their Christmas shopping while the others are busy decorating their houses in preparation for their Christmas celebration.

Like for instance, my auntie is now busy preparing the house. She already put different Christmas decorations since the first week of December and now, she’s focusing on their place where we celebrate Christmas together.

It is in our tradition that we come together in my granny’s house every Christmas. My aunt have started cleaning the house and even arrange the home lighting to make their house more pleasing and attractive especially to the visitors. She even put new curtains and rearranges the furniture to maximize the space so everyone will be more comfortable to stay.

This is how she prepares for Christmas. She always wants everything to be organized to make things perfect. She wants all of us to enjoy the day with each other’s company since Christmas is being celebrated once a year so she wants to make the most out of it.

Our Option

Perhaps most of my readers are aware that I am currently doing my thesis and other case studies in my four major subjects. I’ve been very busy ever since the school year started and I am always stressed and frustrated with all the loads hurled to us. We feel like we are not humans anymore but rather robots because of the simultaneous tasks that they assigned to us every week.

In fact, I rarely go home and I spend more time in school and in my groupmate’s house. We always have our sleepless nights and often times, for one week, our longest hours of sleep is 2-3 hours.

Since we are only staying at my groupmate’s house for most of our overnights, we thought that we should just move into another place because my groupmate is living with his family so we thought that we might be a disturbance to them especially at night. So what our group has discussed is to look for homes for rent that will suit our budget since we are only students and we have limited money.

Until now, we haven’t seen any so we are still staying at my groupmate’s house but we are still looking for a good place to move to and if possible, we prefer to rent near our school.

Undecided

My friend is currently having a problem regarding their apartment. She’s been living there for years now together with her parents. They’ve been ask to move out because the daughter of the owner just came back from the states and has decided to stay here in the Philippines for good.

They were allotted six months free to stay in their current apartment before they move out. During this time, they are expected to look for a new house to stay.

They can’t decide whether they will move to another house or just have their own manufactured home since they now have enough money for this. Actually, they don’t want to rent anymore that’s why they are considering this fact.

I honestly can’t help her about this since I’m not that familiar with the pros and cons of having your own house or renting. But in my perception, I can say that it is better to have your own home as it can also be a great investment.

My Dream House

I always dream of having my own house in front of a beach. I always picture it out as how I want it to be made.

Last two days ago, I and my boyfriend was chatting during our break time at school. Since we didn’t have much to talk about, I asked him if he can make a sketch for my dream house. I describe my house to him, every details and even the things that I want to use to construct my house.

And so I asked him to design a house full of glass since I want to have it in front of the beach. So instead of having brick walls, I want most of them to be made of glass so that I can always see the view especially when I wake up in the morning. I asked for three floors with at least six bedrooms and I want the floors to be made of glass tile.
I let him do the rest of the details since he has a greater knowledge more than I do when it comes to this field since he’s a natural born artist.

Until now, he’s not yet totally finished with his design since we are still busy with our school works. But then he told me that he will finish everything as soon as possible.

Final Plans

I think it’s now final. My sister’s hubby has finally decided to push through with his plans for their house at Bulacan. He really wants to do landscaping and he has already chosen the plants that he wants for their house. He already talked their landscaper who happened to be the cousin of my dad. Furthermore, he also wants to have their own Butterfly farm for her daughter but they are taking things one step at a time.

Likewise, they are setting things in the right order for them to avoid conflicts for their properties. As a good start, they already applied for mortgage life insurance for the security of their house which is now newly renovated. Of course, they want to make sure of their safety since they have invested a lot for this property.

In addition, they are now planning to move there as my sister’s husband really wants to live there but unfortunately, my sister doesn’t like it because it is a bit far from the city and it will be harder for her to travel from there to her office.

Well I just hope that they will be able to come up with successful plans as these are the things that they really want to own.

Latest Project

It’s really hard to renovate a house. You will need a lot effort plus a lot of budgets for you to start a renovation. You will need couple of workers that will help you do the different assignments needed and most especially, you need enough time to finish everything.

I’ve seen these when my dad decided to renovate my sister’s apartment. Since their tenants moved out last month, they agreed to do some changes and repairs so that the new tenants will be more comfortable and satisfied with the place.

My dad is the one who supervised the workers. They started their jobs last two weeks and fortunately, they were able to finish it before the holy week. Good thing the workers really did their job well plus the other services that they got (just like the pvc fence installation) definitely added a big help to them which indeed made their work easier and faster.

And now, the tenants are enjoying their stay in my sister’s newly renovated apartment. Thanks to everyone who did all the hard works.

Undecided

Our family owns a house and lot at Bulacan. We started renovating it early last year and fortunately, we were able to repaint it and repair the damages and other major problems. But unfortunately, our house is not yet fully furnished since we don’t have time to visit there.

But now, my dad is planning to finish everything for our house. He wants to transfer some of our furniture there since he really wants us to move and live there permanently. But then again, he thought that it will take a lot of work to do that, so my mom suggested contacting some moving companies to lessen the work and make it easy for us.

Maybe, after holy week, my dad will start to do the unfinished works at our house at Bulacan, but I think that we are not yet going to move there permanently since we still have duties here in Manila and it will be inconvenient for us to travel that long every day.

My Dad's Suggestion

Our family is planning to move at Bulacan. We have a house there and they are now starting to have renovation and they are even planning to expand it. They are putting more decorations by putting modern furniture and accessories that will add enhancements in each spot of the house.

I love the idea of renovating the house; hence, I don’t really want to move there because it will be hard for me since I’m currently studying here in Manila. It’s very time consuming if I will travel everyday from Bulacan and it will really be a big hindrance to my schedule since I have night classes. The danger in travelling that far will be greater and likewise, I would have to consider transportation fares which are not practical for now because for sure, fares will be more expensive for that.

I think it is better if we just stay there every weekend or vacations so that I will not be having a hard time dealing with the different adjustments that I have to consider by then. However, the decision is still with my father and I don’t have any option if he really wants to stay there for good.

I Want My Own House

My cousin is planning to have their own house but unfortunately they still don’t have enough money to support the full payment. But then again, they decided to take another option which therefore is her hubby’s idea to try a trustful mortgage company.

They tried to apply and they were asked to submit following requirements for the approval. Needless to say, they were able to meet the following requirements since both of them have stable jobs which enable them to earn a good income.

Fortunately, they were already given the mortgage quotes to help them decide for the best house that they want. Aside from that, they were able to plan and arrange their budget for the down payment and they are planning to pay it by next month as soon as they accomplish everything that they need.
Well, I’m sure that they will be able to plan everything as soon as possible. I know that this will also be a great step for their family to live a better and happy life.
