Outstanding Report

Last school year, our group was tasked to conduct and make a report o the lives and behavior of the people involved in the illicit drug and alcohol use and currently undergoing treatment at rehabilitation center like alcohol rehab and the like. With so much apprehension and poignancy, I could do nothing less but to go on with the group.

After spending almost three hours of travel, we finally set our feet at the drug rehab center. A look of genuine amazement suddenly became visible to everyone’s faces for the poetic beauty that surrounds the place. When the time has come for us to talk to the patients, my discernment suddenly fluttered away as they were very open and cooperative to share their experiences with us. According to them, the hardest part of their treatment was the early days when the craving was still high.

The great ambience and different activities offered to every patient are indeed very helpful. Every patient at the center has the privilege to enjoy the amenities which help them alleviate their feeling of boredom of even loneliness. Everyone is looking forward for the day where they can pack their bags, go home with their family and be free from the crime and filthy thing that smudged their life.

It was indeed a very thrilling experience for us. We’ve learned a lot from them by the different stories that they shared to us and we definitely admire them for having the courage to speak up and accept the wrong things they did.
